How is healthcare organized in Alanya?
Alanya has a number of excellent private clinics & hospitals. Our representatives will be happy to assist you if the need arises. Mahmutlar has it’s own private hospital which is situated across from ASJ 2 Residence. It is advisable to take out travel insurance before your trip. We would also advise clients that when they buy in Alanya that they obtain a copy of their medical history with their new Turkish address and leave it into one of the local hospitals. This will help if the need arises, as most holidaymaker's can never remember their Turkish address.
What is the climate like?
Alanya has on average 300 days of sunshine. This in turn makes it an all year round destination. It is one of the warmest places in Turkey. It has a sub-tropical climate and a mild winter temperature of around 15 to 18 degrees. In the summer, temperatures are consistently above 33 degrees. July and August are the warmest months.
How is transport organised?
Alanya has an excellent transport service. The buses are very frequent, cheap and provide a good service within Alanya and the surrounding areas. There is also a good network of Taxis charging very reasonable rates.
What is travel time to Alanya?
Alanya is located 120 km from Antalya airport. The road network is excellent so this
trip takes a little over 1 hr. Direct flights from Dublin are 4 hr 30mins. Gazipasa
airport will open soon. This is located 20 minutes east of Alanya.
What are the Beaches like in Alanya?
Alanya has up to 30 km of beaches leading into a turquoise Mediterranean Sea. There
are a number of beaches in Alanya that have blue flag status’ . The most famous beach
in Alanya is Cleopatra Beach or Damlatas Beach. Other beaches include Banana Beach
and Mahmutlar Beach
